We only cancel classes if necessary. We do not feel that you should risk driving in inclement weather to get to a dance class. We are parents too and we know what it takes to get a small child dressed and ready for dance, only to have the stress of driving in "less than ideal" conditions. We also realize that some of our dancers are new drivers and probably shouldn't be driving on slippery roads. We try to have an announcement on 45-60 minutes prior to the start of class. Announcements can be heard by calling the studio or visiting us here on the Web site. We apologize for the inconvenience, but your safety is important to us.
HOW DO WE DETERMINE CANCELLATIONS?
We monitor the weather and we have a list of "street watchers" around Worcester, MA and the surrounding towns of Holden, West Boylston, Auburn, Shrewsbury and others. We ask their opinion about traveling in their area. If the majority of watchers feel it is not safe to be driving, we cancel classes.
IF WORCESTER CANCELS SCHOOL IS THERE DANCE?
We DO NOT automatically cancel classes if Worcester Public School are closed due to weather. Often the roads are clear by the time our classes begin. HOWEVER, if Worcester cancels morning kindergarten on a Thursday or Friday, our morning classes WILL BE CANCELLED. This DOES NOT apply to afternoon classes.
ARE THERE REFUNDS OR MAKE-UPS?
There are NO REFUNDS, but classes can be made-up.
WHAT IF I OWE TUITION OR OTHER FEES?
Just like your cable bill, if it's not paid on time there is a late fee. It is your responsibility to make the payment on time. In the case of inclement weather, please drop payment off on the day classes resume (even if it's not your day to dance), or mail it.
WHERE CAN I HEAR or READ ABOUT CANCELLATIONS?
Weather cancellations will be announced on our website, on Twitter, on Facebook and on the studio answering machine. We also send emails out if you provided us with your address at signups. We can always add you to the email list.
