[fblike]It was a Hawaiian Luau theme for our 2nd annual Competition Team Banquet. Dancers played games, answered Hawaiian Trivia, danced, received medallions and trophies and learned to Hula Dance. They also watched a video slide show recapping their year.

The dancers and their families brought many creative Hawaiian themed treats including a Turtle carved from a watermelon, a beach themed veggie tray with an umbrella made from a green pepper and tasty baked goods! Every year the dancers and parents knock it out of the park with their themed desserts!

Many dancers also brought food for the Greendale Peoples Church food pantry.

The Greendale Dance Academy competition team had a very successful season with many high scoring and overall winning dancers and dances. The team competed at Headliners, Elite Dance Challenge, Diva Dance and the Power of Dance. GDA Dancers raised $940 at the Power of Dance for the Sophia FUNd which was generously matched for the 2nd year by Worcester Pediatrics. Worcester Pediatrics is a proud supporter of the Sophia FUNd.

Thank you to Miss Lisa and her husband Chris, Miss Tracy, Miss Maria, Miss Amy, Miss Katie, Miss Jamie G., and Miss Jamie C. for all their help before and during the Luau. And thank you to Andy and Amy Lubowicki for staying to clean up.
