What is a...
Competition Dance Team
Competition Team is open to most students in the Studio. Most importantly, it is for the dancer that wants to make Dance their primary extra-curricular activity. Dancers will perform their dances in front of judges 3-5 times per year and therefore compete against other area dance studios for awards. Our dancers consistently win Titles, Overall Awards, Judges Awards, Cash Awards and dance team nominations at competitions throughout New England.

How To Join
Current GDA dancers can let their teacher know they are interested in dancing competitively. Likewise, dance parents can contact the office. In addition, if you already dance competitively and are interested in GDA, contact the office so we can arrange an audition. In addition, dancers can prepare to be a Competitive Dancers by taking Ballet classes at Greendale Dance Academy. We have the BEST ballet teachers that enhance their classes by being certified in PBT Ballet and Alixa Flexibility.

Upfront Pricing and Scheduling
Prior to the start of the dance year, competitive team families will receive a welcome packet that contains exact competition pricing, due dates, of list of any items you may need to purchase (ie. Warmup Jackets, PBT/Alixa Equipment, etc.) and dates for both competitions and practices.
